Letter from the Team
Remember when introductions were simple? "Hi, I'm Luke. I'm on the baseball team." You said it with chest-out pride. It wasn't just about friends or making the cut. Deep down, it meant you'd earned it — grueling practices, long bus rides, missed birthdays, showing up when it hurt. That team defined you.
Then life shifts. The games end. Careers take over. Late nights, travel, deadlines. Suddenly you're "Luke from Sales." It doesn't hit the same. Inside, though, you're still that athlete — the one with grit, the reliable teammate, the one who grinds through the tough stuff. If you're not playing anymore, it's easy to lose touch with that identity.
But the reminders show up anyway: Pushing through a brutal workday when others tap out. Being the friend who gets the call at 2 a.m. Taking hard feedback from the boss and actually fixing it.
That pride you felt on the team? It was never really about the uniform. It was about being dependable, trusted, unbreakable. Those traits don't expire when the final whistle blows. You're still that athlete.
You still got it.
Once an athlete, always an athlete. IDNTY — Athletes for Life.
